From the Norwegian coast to the Rocky Mountains

Silje discovered at an early age she had a passion for “dressing up” and creating styles of her very own.  Growing up on the Southern Coast of Norway, the combination of her personal vision for beauty and a talented mother, encouraged her to refine her abilities in the areas of drawing, sewing, and creating.  At the age of 16, she left the coast and the comforts of home and entered Bergen trade school.  Here she gained her Journeyman as a seamstress.  This gave her the opportunity to work as a costume seamstress for renowned theatres such as The Agder Theatre, The Norwegian Opera, and at the Costume Department of Norwegian Film.

After years of creating a multitude of varied costumes, Silje wanted to expand her education by attending The Art Complexion School of Makeup Artistry in Oslo.  This continues to be one of her greatest passions.  After a short time in Norway’s capital city as a freelance makeup artist, Silje pursued her trade in conjunction with photographers, fashion magazines and Oslo Fashion Week.

Her adventures and professional pursuits continue to evolve in the mountains of Montana.  Silje’s focus now lies primarily on her love for designing, and above all, designing wedding dresses.  The combination of all of her skills and experiences allow her to sit down, get to know her costumer, and together create a unique style that reflects not only an individual’s personality but selected venues as well.

All pieces are designed, constructed and sewn by Silje; the customer will be involved in this evolutionary process from beginning to end.
